As many of you already know, I have a tendency to become obsessed with certain projects, ideas or even products from time to time. And in an effort to drag some of you into my little obsessive world I will share these obsessions with you from time to time. My latest? Benjamin Moore Black Chalkboard Paint! Many of my fellow fans of J.Crew have no doubt already seen these gorgeous photos of Jenna Lyon's (J.Crew Creative Director) house from the November 2008 issue of Domino Magazine.
I was instantly drawn to the look of the black walls and was surprised to learn that the paint used was Benjamin Moore's Studio Finishes Chalkboard Paint! Needless to say I immediately piled the kids into the car and drove down to my local hardware store to purchase some paint (after calling ahead and verifying they had 3 cans left of course).
My obsession at it's peak, I scoured my house for surfaces to paint black. After my husband shot down (with daggers for extra emphasis) the idea of painting the walls of the playroom, I settled on the back door as a good starting point. Behold the results!
