Loved my Reunion!

I am back from my 20-year High School Reunion and I had a fabulous time! I cannot believe I even considered not going. As luck would have it, almost every one of my best friends growing up was able to make it. I had forgotten (shame on me) how much fun it is to just be with old friends. After only about 10 minutes together, we all settled in for a relaxed, comfortable evening. After midnight, we left the first place and headed to yet another bar because nobody was ready for the evening to end. Only after finding ourselves the last ones left in the bar at 2:30 a.m. did we head for our cars.

It turns out that my initial hesitation and fears were totally unfounded. People did ask what I was doing these days, but could not have cared less what the answer was as long as I was happy doing it. Why did I expect any less from my friends?

Amidst good-bye hugs and kisses, we vowed to meet-up again next summer. I'll keep my fingers crossed!

Things I Love About Summer

  1. Not having to rush out the door in the morning
  2. My kids asking if they can stay in their pjs all day (answer is almost always YES!)
  3. Lazy summer mornings, afternoons, and evenings spent at the pool
  4. Summer baseball games
  5. Enjoying frozen lemonade and cotton candy at the baseball games
  6. The beach
  7. Neighborhood summer block party
  8. 4th of July BBQs with friends and watching fireworks with my children
  9. Impromptu playdates
  10. Endless hours of sunlight
